Mainstreaming SFD and Decentralized Wastewater Treatment in Urban Sanitation Programming Date: June 28-29, 2016 Venue: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala With increasing urban population, the sanitation crisis is growing. Even if the access to toilet has improved, the fate of the excreta generated is unclear. The conventional ways of collecting and treating/disposing waste water have failed to provide lasting solution to the water crisis we face today.
Date: November 10 - 13, 2014 Venue: BRAC CDM, Savar, Bangladesh Center for Science and Environment (CSE) and Water Aid Bangladesh (WAB) are jointly organizing a 4 day training programme for capacity building of the practitioners, academicians and government officials from Bangladesh on ‘Decentralized wastewater treatment (DWWT)’.
This is a proposal from the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) for the implementation of decentralised waste water technologies in the municipal zones of Shimla where currently centralised sewage treatment systems do not exist.
