Teaching Climate Resilience

Event completed

In the first session of our exclusive three-session series, we will dive into one of the key units of the UGC curriculum framework for environmental studies: Climate Change. As a complex, multi-dimensional issue, it demands deliberation not only at the global level but local as well. The efforts needed or potentially being made to combat climate change — climate action — can be understood in two areas: mitigation, which involves taking action to prevent climate change impacts by reducing the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere; and adaptation, which involves taking action to reduce or adapt to the impacts of climate change.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE SESSION?

  • A deep-dive discussion on climate change mitigation & adaptation strategies, policies & frameworks for climate action
  • Ideas on teaching climate change — from the fundamentals to latest developments
  • Key resources and activity ideas for the classroom

In this exclusive session, CSE expert Trishant Dev will delve into the synergies between climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as the policy frameworks guiding the way forward.
