The COP29 Roundup

This event is complete

The 29th United Nations Conference of Parties (COP29) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11 to 22, 2024. The agenda for this year is focused on reaching an outcome for a newly negotiated climate finance target, known as the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) on climate finance. COP29 is important for one more reason — it arrives halfway between the signing of the Paris Agreement in 2015 and the target year 2030, by which countries aim to reduce emissions substantially.

We invite all educators to join us for a briefing to discuss the key outcomes of COP29 and their implications for India. Your inputs on how the COP29 proceedings could be translated into classroom discussions for students would also be welcome.

Join us on December 4, 2024 at 4 PM by registering on the given link. Interested students from network institutions are also welcome to register for the session.

If this topic made you think, we have more in store for you!
