The Many Hues of Haldi

This is a chat show about ‘lost’ foods -- ingredients and recipes that have disappeared or are disappearing from our plates and our kitchens. It is a show that dwells on memories of lingering tastes, and on how to get those tastes back into our lives. And it is a show that explores the close linkages these foods have with nutrition, livelihoods and nature.

On the International Day for Biological Diversity, join us for the inaugural episode of Centre for Science and Environment’s weekly chat show on food and biodiversity. With noted academician, food critic and historian Pushpesh Pant. The episode will focus on turmeric, an ingredient which is present in every kitchen in India.
