The Tiger Bio-filter Sewage Treatment System based on patented Tiger technology uses a unique combination of filter bio media and earthworms (Eisenia fetida) to treat sludge & sewage, and recycles nearly 95% of wastewater.
The Biofilter is assembled in three stages: a sewage sump, leading to the biofilter (loaded with layers of waste treating bio-media and earthworms, where the wastewater is treated) and tertiary pressure sand and activated carbon filters. The unique set-up of the treatment plant introduces a "trickling" action of the wastewater as it passes through the bio-media, which dissolves oxygen into it. The inorganic waste in the water is removed by physical filtration. The organic waste matter is digested and metabolized by the earthworms and microorganisms.
