Towards Zero Waste

The world generates over two billion tonne of municipal solid waste annually, and the figure is expected to double by the year 2050. March 30 has been proclaimed as the International Day of Zero Waste by the UN – the aim is to underscore the urgency of improving global waste management systems and promote sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Ring in this important day with Centre for Science and Environment’s (CSE) curtainraising Live Chat with Atin Biswas, who heads and steers CSE’s work on solid waste management and circular economy. The show will be hosted by Sukanya Nair.
