Date: December 15 - 16, 2021
A two day - virtual training program on “Sustainable grey water management and reuse at community level”, was conducted between December 15 - 16, 2021, on Zoom platform by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi. This was done under CSE’s work as Key Resource Centre under Jal Jeevan Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti. This is second set of training on this topic.
The training was specially designed for officials of Middle Management level – Level 2 .
The objectives of this training program were as follows:
The speakers of the training were from Ministry of Jal Shakti, Centre for Science and Environment, Nirmal Gram Nirman Kendra, Indian Institute of Technology – Madaras, and BORDA – SA.
There were in total 66 nomination received for the training program. The participants were from eight states and Union Territories– Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Leh&Ladakh (Kargil) and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. On day one 36 participants were present and 45 on day two.
The participants were mainly engineers – the composition of participants was as follows:
A need assessment and quiz polls were carried on pre- and post-training. The training received overwhelming response. The participants interacted well with the speakers.
