Understanding Data Analytics, Visualisation, And Applying Structured Toolkits for Effective Mobility Strategy Implementation

Data is at the core of effective urban mobility planning. Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) offers an online training course that explores how to analyse and visualise transport data and leverage spatial analysis to design and implement sustainable mobility solutions. The course will also introduce assessment instruments such as CSE’s Climate Toolkit, which identifies key variables to track urban mobility trends, assess emissions, and guide decision-making for low-carbon transport solutions.

The self-paced online programme will feature video lectures, presentations, tutorials, and quizzes. The programme is designed for flexible learning, allowing you to complete it at your own pace and convenience.

KEY MODULES IN THE COURSE:

  • Leveraging GIS for Planning and Implementing Mobility Plans – Understanding the fundamentals of GIS and how spatial analysis can be used to design and enforce policies for cleaner urban transport – a special focus on Low Emission Zones (LEZ).
  • Decoding Urban Mobility: Data Visualisation for Smarter Decision-Making – Learning how to interpret and present transport sector data in cities to identify mobility trends, gaps, and opportunities for intervention.
  • Understanding the Climate Toolkit: Practical Strategies for Sustainable Mobility – Introducing the Climate Toolkit, a structured framework to track key transport variables, assess policy impacts, and support the implementation of low-emission mobility strategies.
