Water scarcity and droughts in summer, and now flash floods accompanied by waterlogging, choked drains, silted rivers and lakes. Our cities, already densely populated, with a majority residing in informal settlements, are also the most impacted by extreme weather events. How to make our cities water secure as well as flood-resilient? What is the way forward? Is it more infrastructure for drainage and sanitation? Is it enforcement of urban planning norms? Is it rejuvenating our rivers and lakes?
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) invites you to a live chat to discuss the key lessons from the recent Delhi deluge.
