CSE recently released a report titled ‘Discredited: The Voluntary Carbon Market in India’. Shedding light on India’s role as the second-largest supplier of carbon offsets globally, the report exposes evident flaws and integrity issues uncovered in various projects during CSE’s India-wide investigation. To take the discussion forward, we are convening a global discussion to facilitate an open dialogue on potential strategies for enhancing transparency, fairness, and integrity in the voluntary carbon market. The webinar will also underscore what needs to be prioritized when the world gathers to discuss carbon markets at COP 28 in Dubai.
