We hope this mail finds you and your family safe and healthy. Covid-19 pandemic...blue skies...rivers rejuvenated...Cyclone Amphan...Cyclone Nisarga...Locust Infestation...Assam floods... The past six months have seen some good news, but it is clear we are in the midst of the worst of times! Given this, can we afford to waste more time? Can we still be in denial? Can we still ignore Climate Change?

In this planetary emergency of climate change, valuable lessons from these extraordinary times are with us. We only need to know what is happening on the ground so that our actions can be guided better; so that we do not make mistakes or repeat them. We need to take a stand now to ensure a better, cleaner and more sustainable environment, life and air quality in the time ahead. Sunita Narain will speak on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on `Past Crises and Roadmap Ahead'.
