The Development Studies Department, open to all SOAS students, a 3-day online conference was organised by students to shed light upon the urgent global challenges, promising developments, and the politics and practicalities of working in this broad arena. 

School of Oriental and African Studies at University of London invited Dr Suresh Kumar Rohilla, Senior Director – CSE as part of international panel of speakers in at the international conference on “Working in Development and Social Change” in the session on “Interweaving Think Tanks and Sustainability”. 

Dr Rohilla shared his experiences of working with leading global think tank – CSE and his personal journey engaging with development sector starting from working with government and academia involving action research, advocacy and capacity building efforts that has resulted in today in building a global south –south network and community of 7500+ practitioners, regulators and managers.  The conference participants included academia - faculty involved in action research in global south and students interested in building career in development sector.
