Workshop deliberates on solar rooftop scheme-II

The sixth national workshop on Rooftop Solar Programme Phase-II and PM Kusum Scheme was inaugurated by Lalit Bohra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Officials from distribution companies, state governments and state implementing agencies shared their experiences and discussed various issues and possible solutions to overcome the challenges being faced in implementation of these schemes.The second session of the workshop was moderated by Shobhit Srivastava, MNRE, and saw representatives from the states of Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh take part. The participants stressed on the need for efficient use of solar energy through proper pump sizing and using it for other agriculture activities under component-B of the Kusum scheme.
