Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) organized a workshop on “Clean Vehicles for Clean Air: Improved Strategies for Monitoring and Controlling Emissions from On-road Vehicles”. The workshop was jointly organized with the Odisha State Pollution Control Board on March 23, 2022, in Bhubaneswar.The main objective of this workshop was to sensitize the concerned stakeholders about thestrategies needed to improve the implementation of on-road emissionsmanagement for controlling pollution from on-road vehicles. The vehicle sector isone of the critical strategies that require attention under theNational Clean Air Programme and is an integral part of the microaction plans and state action plans that are being framed andimplemented to reduce particulate pollution in Odisha. In this workshop, around 48 people participated, including the officials of the Odisha State pollution control board, Odisha Transport department, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) Bhubaneswar development authority, and media.
