The power sector study, and CSE’s two decades of research experience in the industrial sector, has highlighted the urgent need to strengthen pollution monitoring, reporting and compliance systems in India. Even though the pollution norms have been tightened over time, monitoring and reporting framework has remained weak.
We believe adoption of continuous/ real-time emissions monitoring system (CEMS) would fill that gap in the regulatory process. CSE is planning to organise a one-day workshop on CEMS to discuss technical issues, protocols and methodologies for adoption of CEMS in India.
We invite technical experts, regulatory officials and manufacturers to participate in the workshop. A line of confirmation to sanjeev@cseindia.org would be highly appreciated.
