Anil Agarwal Dialogue brings together different stakeholders to discuss issues of national importance. The previous editions of the dialogue have discussed mining, forest clearances and water management. These discussions have been instrumental in pushing for reforms in the respective sectors. This year, the Anil Agarwal Dialogue will address the issue of energy access and the role of renewable energy in providing energy to all.

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) jointly with Pondicherry Citizen’s Action Network (PondyCAN), a Pondicherry based nonprofit organized the South Asia Convention on Coastal Management at Pondicherry between January 19 -21, 2014.
CSE has been researching on the state of waterbodies in India and South Asia. The research findings from India have been published in Excreta Matters: The Seventh State of Environment Report. It is clear from the research studies that there is no clear law for the protection of waterbodies, catchments and the feeder channels in South Asian countries including India.

Centre for Science and Environment organised a Stakeholder Dialogue on Improving Environmentally Sustainable Transport in Sri Lanka on December 10 in Colombo in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy, Sri Lanka. This dialogue is part of our initiative to build a forum for city dialogue on air quality and sustainable mobility.
