This is the Second e-learning course dedicated to faecal sludge management. It compiles the current state of knowledge of this rapidly evolving field and presents an integrated approach that includes technology, management and planning. It addresses the planning and organization of the entire faecal sludge management service chain, from the collection and transport of sludge and its treatment options, to the final end use or disposal of treated sludge.

Depending on the extent to which the learning objectives have been achieved, the participant can qualify for one of the three membership statuses and/or the associated certificate. The formal certificate will be issued by the course providing institution where the participant has carried out the course-related activities. The following memberships are available:

The final mark of the course (100%) is made up of the marks obtained in the course qizzes (best 4), assignment and the final examination. The course is successfully completed when the average final mark is higher than or at least equal to a 60%.
