This case study highlights the policy principles on water conservation and water-use efficiency proposed in California, USA aims to reduce statewide per capita water use by 20 per cent by 2020 through implementation of specific measures. As an outcome, in 2013, cumulative statewide water saving was about 23.3 percent.
